Six-Day Kenya Safaris: Amboseli National Park, Great Rift Valley, Maasai Mara Tour

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli
On arrival at the airport ( Jomo Kenyatta International Airport), you will be met by our representative and driven south across the Athi Plains to Amboseli National Park, viewing game en route to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive in Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will take a game drive in the park. At this time the clouds usually clear to reveal the snow covered dome of Mt. Kilimanjaro, providing a majestic backdrop to the peaceful grazing animals on the plains. You may find elephant, cape buffalo, hippo, giraffe and the graceful cheetah. Birdlife in Amboseli is prolific and the scenery a remarkable contrast of arid scrubland and lush grasses by the swamps. You will have further game viewing throughout the day with a second overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast in the morning, leave Amboseli at 0730 hours for Nairobi. You will then head to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for a late lunch at around 1400hours. Relax, then take a game/bird drive around the lake shore to see the thousands of flamingos lining the shore in a pink mass. Return for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or one of the other luxury lodges.

Day 4: Nakuru to Masai Mara National Park:
This day you will drive across the floor of the Rift Valley to Narok town where there will be a brief rest stop, then drive to Maasai Mara, arriving in the time for lunch. The Maasai Mara adjoins the Serengeti next door in Tanzania with the same wonderful ecosystem. Meals and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Park Safari
After breakfast, you will go for a full day of viewing and exploring this spectacular game park. Wherever you go in the Maasai Mara, you will see an astonishing variety of wildlife. Of the big cats, lions are found in large prides everywhere. Cheetahs and leopards are more elusive but are still fairly common. Other common animals include Maasai giraffes, baboons, Warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, and matriarchal clans of spotted hyenas. Meals and overnight at lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
After Breakfast, return to Nairobi where the tour ends.
